By the year 2050, we hope that people of all ages will enjoy safe neighborhoods, vibrant park space, and abundant recreational opportunities.
Below, learn more about the five most recent My LA2050 Grants Challenge winners making LA the best place to PLAY, and what you can do right now to contribute to their work!
$100,000 Winner: Angel City Sports provides year-round, free adaptive sports opportunities for adults and children with physical disabilities to support their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Angel City Sports is currently hosting its 2021 Summer Series for adaptive athletes and allies with the goal of educating 1,000 individuals about the Paralympic movement! Check out the upcoming virtual and in-person event offerings.
$50,000 Winner: Color the Water (CTW) is committed to fighting racism, reclaiming coastal land and waters, and changing surf culture in Los Angeles. CTW accomplishes its mission through free surf instruction for BIPOC, historical and cultural education, and media representation.

$25,000 Winner: CicLAvia, Los Angeles Walks, and LA Forward partnered together to address the social isolation of the pandemic, giving people the tools and confidence to reimagine their streets in ways that promote safety and joy.
On August 15, CicLAvia will resume in-person programming with CicLAvia Wilmington, a 2.25 mile route from Banning Park and Wilmington Waterfront Park. Bike, skate, run, or walk β it's up to you! Learn more about the event and how to participate.
$15,000 Winner: Sloane Stephens Foundation (SSF) provides a safe space to cultivate the next generation of tennis athletes in Los Angeles, empowering children to dream big and achieve on and off the court.
Each year, SSF's Love, Love Compton program in partnership with the Compton Unified School District introduces more than 2,000 youth to tennis. Find out how to contribute your time, talents, and resources to furthering SSF's mission.
$10,000 Winner: East Side Riders Bike Club (ESRBC) is a volunteer organization with a mission to improve Watts and Compton through community service and bike programs aimed at providing local youth an alternative to gangs and drugs.
