About this job

Public-facing role out of our Chatsworth District Office.

Roles & responsibilities

Attending to the customer window; assisting claimants in completing claim forms, answering questions about payments, timeframes, rules and regulations. Maintain accurate records, checking for fraudulent tickets and handling customer complaints.

Answering telephone calls from retailers, Lottery District Sales Reps, Lottery staff and general public.

Qualifications

Desirable Qualifications

-Bilingual skills (Spanish) is preferred, but not required.

-Knowledge of customer service principles, including the ability to handle challenging -customers and retailers while providing service in a professional manner.

-Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

-Clerical work experience that includes knowledge of basic research and data gathering and record-keeping techniques.

-Detail oriented in work deliverables.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience: One year of clerical experience. [Academic education above the 12th grade may be substituted for one year of the required general experience on the basis of either: (a) one year of general education being equivalent to three months of experience; or (b) one year of education of a business or commercial nature being equivalent to six months of experience. Students who are enrolled in the last semester or its equivalent of course work which upon completion will fulfill these requirements will be admitted to the examination, but they must submit evidence of completion before they may be considered eligible for appointment.]
