PLAY ·2025 Grants ChallengeSunset4All: Transforming Sunset Blvd Into a Safe and Beautiful Active Transportation Corridor
Funding from LA2050 will be used to hold community engagement events to activate community support for an infrastructure improvement project “Sunset4All” which aims to create a “green” transportation corridor covering 3.2 miles of LA’s iconic Sunset Blvd. The Sunset4All project will connect approximately 100,000 residents with safer biking and walking facilities on Sunset, thereby closing a critical gap in the active transportation network of Los Angeles.

Centering Equity and Healing: A Conversation on Safety and Mobility Justice
Organized by local mobility justice community-based organizations (CBOs), these events will engage residents in discussions, workshops, and activities highlighting the intersections of transportation, equity, and safety. By incorporating healing practices, we aim to create a supportive environment where participants can share experiences, build resilience, and foster a sense of community well-being.
